Several Mornings of Wadeable Water!

We have been getting rain off and on the past few days.  So far, the heaviest has been during the evening hours.  Projections are for more rain this afternoon.  Monday looks clear with slight chances (20%) Tuesday and Wednesday.  Nothing Thursday but slight, again, chances Friday and through the weekend.

The past six days have had no generation during the morning hours and generators coming on from noon to 1:00 p.m.  May have had one day in there when it was 2:00 p.m.  Bottom line, we have been able to wade in the mornings!  Same projection for tomorrow morning.

Dana and Darren on the water last Wednesday with a group from Oklahoma.  Dana’s couple, Keith and Brandi, were catching on the ruby 2 and black copperhead.   Darren’s couple, Karsen and Bailee are new to fly fishing but got some fish to the boat on the copper dun and black and silver midges and a midge larvae.

Thursday, Dana and Darren had a group of brand new guys out for a wade trip….Kody, Daryle, Anakyn, Jeremy and Hunter.  Sow bug/ scud  combo, midge emerger and a cerise San Juan worm were the patterns they used.  Kody wad the lead fly fisher and caught several.  Everyone worked on their casting and hook sets!

Carolyn took Robert and Owen out Friday.  Slow start early, but we finally found a honey hole and pulled several fish our on the ruby 2 midge or stripping the
