Good Days….Tough Days!

Looks like the weather is warming up a bit for a few days.  Low to mid 90s through Friday, then into the mid to upper 80s.  Slight chances for rain every day (20%).

Off water still every morning then on around noon.  They had projected no start up today until 2:00 p.m. but they turned it on around 9:30 a.m.  Low one to start then ramped up to a full one for a while.  Looks like it is heading up to two units as I write.

Jim and Carolyn on the water last Monday with with a group of fly fishing guys.  Jim had Adam and Alex.  They all fished with us last year and plan to come back next year.  Fun day.  Jim’s guys were catching on the JQ streamer.  Carolyn has Joel and Zach.  Started

Zach – 8/2/21

out with the black copperhead midge on one and the ruby 2 on the other.  Hooked from

Joel – 8/2/21

fish on this and then zip!  Nothing.  Switched to the holographic green crackleback and started beating the shallow water bank at the Rockin Chair area and finished up with a great day!

Tuesday, Dana took Ryan and Jacob out for half a day.  They were catching on the ruby 2 midge, black copperhead midge, and peach

Mike – 8/3/21

egg.  Water off, so they fished from the root wad to the boat ramp.  Gary and his friend Mike fished with Carolyn.  Black copperhead and ruby 2 midges were their patterns.

Wednesday, Jeff and Tony were fishing with Dana.  Jeff caught his biggest trout ever.

Jeff – 22 inch Rainbow – 8/4/21

Nice 22 inch rainbow.  Fishing the black copperhead and ruby 2 midges or a grey scud.

Thursday Dana took Josh and his son Camden out for half a day.  Tough day but they did land some fish on the white thread jig and a grey scud.

Jim out with a long time fisher of his, Scotty.  Tough day for them

Chris & Mary – 8/6/21

but they didn’t get skunked!  Darren had Chris and his daughter, Mary out.  Ting scuds were their ticket.
