Good Days and Tough Days….no such thing as bad days!

Beautiful weather.  Beautiful, sunny day today and temperatures probably in the low 80s.  A little breezy, especially if you’re trying to keep a drift boat in line.  Looks like more of the same all the way through the coming weekend!

No change in the generation this past week.   they have turned on 2 to 4 units every afternoon for several hours.  They were supposed to turn it on today at 1:00 p.m. and so far, (it’s going on 3:00 p.m.) nothing has happened.  Same plan for tomorrow, something coming on in the early afternoon.

Friday, Stan and Carolyn took Penelope and Art, now from Missouri and David, from Texas out for half a day.  What a hoot and what a group.  It was a beautiful overcast day and there was no wind or generation when we put in.  Art and Penelope had a good day on the root beer midge and the P&P.  David was with Carolyn and he also had a good day.  We started with an egg pattern.  After catching fish on that, it was the root beer midge and we finished off the morning fishing the rise with the red San Juan worm.  I think David enjoyed this the most.  He had not yet experienced fishing the rise.  Fast and furious!  Jim had Dave and Beth, from Kansas, on the water all day.  They had a good day on the JQ streamer and the white grub.  This was a first for Beth, so she is progressing through the learning curve of fly fishing.
