Hot Days!!
We continue to see temperatures in the upper 90s. No relief in sight this week. Right not, next week doesn’t look any better.
They continue to run a low one unit during the morning hours and then bump it up to two or three units around 11:00 a.m. or noon.
With the heat, we are only doing half day trips during the morning hours.
Dana on the water last Saturday with Ashton and Matt from Illinois. Low unit running so he fished the upper area. Ruby 2 was their bug for the trip.
Sunday, Jim had Zach from Texas on the water. Black thorax midge and Ruby 2 were the ticket. Zach pretty new to fly fishing so they caught fish and worked on rod and line work.
.Tuesday, Kelton from Texas spent the morning with Dana. White San Juan worm was the ticket. Jim had Jack and Kim on the water. Both are new fly fishers. Recently finished a two-day fly-fishing course They had fun fishing the black thorax and Ruby 2 midges.
