Lots Of Fishing Going On!
Weather in a word – HOT! Looks like we will have a few more days in the 90s then into the upper 80s. Slight chances of rain showing at this time by Saturday.
Low or no generation during the late evening and early morning hours. The up to four generators going by 1:00 or 2:00 p.m. every day.
Jim and Dana on the water last Monday with a group we have been fishing from Illinois. Lee fished with Jim and caught fish with the pink San Juan worm. Dana lad Eric and Arlen. The were catching on the olive filoplume and JQ streamer.
John and Shannon from St. Louis fished with Carolyn Tuesday. Fun day. Shannon hooked up first on a cerise San Juan worm. Thought this was the pattern for the day but no more hits for a while. Changed out to the black copperhead midge under the big Ruby and the hits were on again. Shannon fairly new to fly fishing and we worked on her roll cast with good success! Dana and Landon had a group from Ohio on the water. Jeff and Sean fished with Dana. It was the olive filoplume again. Landon had Rachel and Kevin. It was a yellow hopper, Ruby 2 or black copperhead midge for them. Not to be left out, Jim on the water with Dave. It was the JQ streamer for them. Fun day for everyone!
Friday, Dana took Cam and Jerry out for half a day. Ruby 2 was the pattern. Weird day, as they turned on three units for an hour then shut them down. Fish were a bit confused!
Brian fished with Landon Sunday. Pink San Juan worm and ruby 2 midge were the ticket. Caught some nice fish.
