Whole Lotta Fishin’ Going On!
We continue to see lots of off time with the water. Maybe run one or two units one or two hours early in the morning, but mainly they have been running sometime after 3:00 p.m. and then one and up to two for three to four hours. Lots of wading time!
Weather has been spastic. Forecasts for rain that rarely shows up and if it does, it is very little. We are definitely in a drought condition. Wish we could get several days of good rain!
Dana on the water Monday with Michael and Wade. Good day for these guys on an olive wooly bugger.
Tuesday and Thursday, Carolyn had Sam, one of her regulars, out. Awesome day on Tuesday and a darn good day on Thursday. Both days the best fly was the black copperhead midge, But he also caught

Sam – 4/14/26 – 20″ rainbow
several on the red tunghead San Juan worm. Got his 20 incher on Tuesday. On the awesome day, it started out with a fish on on his first three casts. Nothing on the fourth cast but hooked another on the fifth cast!

Rick – 4/15/26
Wednesday, Dana was back on the water with Rick from Iowa. What a difference a few days makes. Tough day for them but they did catch a few on the black copperhead midge and Ruby 2 midges.
Friday, Landon had Scott and Brad from Texas out for half a day. Really good day for them on the black copperhead midge, a cream mop fly and a #16 gray scud. This was Scott’s first time to catch a fish on a streamer and Brad’s first time with a fly rod. Guess who’s hooked on fly fishing now!
Grant and Gilmore had a quick morning trip with Jim Saturday. Got a few fish to the boat on the ruby midge and a blood worm. Pretty good for the amount of time they spent on the water! Ken and John from Oklahoma fished with Dana. Very good day for them on a red San Juan worm.
