Lots of Wading Water

Weather looks pretty good for the coming week.  Very slight possibilities of rain each day with temperatures in the low to mid 90s.  Think we can handle that

We continue to see no generation during the morning hours.  Water to come on today around 3:00 p.m. for a few hours then off again.  Off Monday until noon or 1:00 p.m. and that looks like the trend.

Pat – 8/7/25

Landon and Carolyn on the water last Thursday with a group out of Kansas.  Of course, that was one of those days when they did not follow the off in the morning pattern.  This group wanted a wade trip so we loaded them into the drift boats and rowed down to the Lookout Island.

Kyle – 8/7/25

Everyone out there with fly rods in hand.  Oxygen level was pretty good, but the fish did not want a midge or scud.  On with the sinking leader a JQ streamer followed by the holographic green crackleback and it was fish on.  We got everyone in the group to pulling streamers.  Rik, Owen, Pat, Ray, and Kyle.

Ray – 8/7/25

After a while we had to change over to a silver or pearl colored crackleback as they laid off the holographic green.

Saturday, Darren took Tyson from Louisiana out for half a day.  Midge pupae and scuds were their patterns.  They did a wade trip and fished up in the rebar area.
