The “oldest” and the “farthest” this week

Our very first guided customer in 1997, Doc from Tulsa, OK, and his good friend Bob spent the day on the water with Stan on Thursday. Water was on when they started, so they fished the red tunghead midge.  Once the water was turned off at 9:00 a.m., they went to the Burgundy Midge.  Good thing Stan was between the two as they were frequently sparring back and forth as to who has the most or biggest fish. Lots of fish to the net, lots of fish that never made it to the net and as many with sore lips wondering where the fly went.

Wednesday, Dave and Kate from the UK walked in the front door looking like they were headed for the northpole! Cool that morning so they were layered up with lots of clothes and fleece to face the morning chill. Turned out to be a good, sunny day with great fishing. The only flaw in the day was the wind! Made it feel much cooler than it was so the hot soup was a welcomed treat at lunch time.
