Lots Of Fishing Going On!

Strange weather.  Couple of hot days, upper 80s and low 90s, then a cool down to low 60s for a couple days.  Might hit upper 60s today, but it’s back into the upper 80s tomorrow and Thursday, then 70s for Friday and back into the low 60s for Saturday.  50% chance for rain Friday.  Next week looks clear and temperatures in the 70s and 80s.

With no rain and not a lot of demand for power, we have seen lots of no generation time definitely on the weekends, but quite a bit during the week days.  Had generators on for two hours this morning and it is not off for the next nine hours when they will fire up two more units for a 2-3 hours and then off again.  Probably continue to see this trend until we get some rain or really have some power demands from extremely hot or cold conditions.

Lots of fishing trips out over the past week.  Dana on the water last Thursday with one of his regular, regulars, George.  They had a good half-day catching on the Ruby 2 under the Big ruby.

Friday, Dana on the water again.  This was a fun trip.  Garrett wanted his daughter, Emerson to catch a fish on a fly rod.  Eight years old and first time with a fly rod!  She brought in a trout on an olive wooly bugger.  Fun day!  Jim had one of his regulars on the water, Jim.  Jim brought his daughter, Kristen.  Yeah!  Kristen caught the biggest fish!  After Jim worked with her for a while she was throwing a #14 streamer and catching fish!  Another fun outting!  Carolyn was out with Glenda from Kansas.  She decided she wanted to start fishing with her husband, so Carolyn worked with her on the roll cast, pick up and lay down cast and shooting line.  After they worked on casting for a few hours, they then worked on presentation.  No strikes nymphing the ruby 2 midge, but she did have a run away on a JQ streamer when we started working on streamer presentation.  Fun day and she was throwing some good line!!

Saturday, Darren took Jeff from Kansas out for half a day.  They had a good day on a midge emerger and a micro scud.  Jeff if fairly new fly fisher, so Darren worked with him on casting and presentation.

Kim – 3/22/26

Matt and Kim from here in Branson fished with Landon Sunday.  They caught fish on the Ruby 2 and a size 18 gray scud.  Of course, Kim caught the biggest fish!  Carolyn had Peter and Jan, also from here in Branson, on the water for half a day.  They had a great day on an orange egg pattern under a black copperhead midge.
