Wonderful!

Another hot day today but it looks like we have some relief in sight.  With some rain chances coming in this evening, it is bringing a cool front that will be around for several days.  80s! is the projection through the weekend and into next week.

Water off most of the day both Saturday and Sunday.  Yesterday they fired it up earlier than the schedule.  Today it is supposed to be off until noon.  We’ll see.  However, we are now seeing no generation time in the evening and early morning.

Darren and Gary had a family of four on the water wading Sunday.  They were all new to fly fishing and wanted the experience of wading in the river and catching trout.  Gary had Mary and Jim.  They caught fish on the black midge.  Darren had Christian and Maverick.  They too were catching on a black midge.  Fun day and new experience for this family!

Monday, Carolyn had a long time customer and now friend, Mike, on the water.  He started fishing with River Run in 2004 and he still comes back!?!  Really good day for him on the black midge and a few on the holographic green crackleback.  Fished good everywhere we went.  If is slowed down a little, we’d move on and find another pod of fish.

Horrible water day yesterday when Darren and Dana had a group of three on the water.  Darren’s guys caught fish on the P&P with a midge pupae dropper.  Dana didn’t find a good fly.  They had the water off when they went out.  Shortly after they got on the river, it came on for a little and then went off again.  In less than an hour on came two units!  Tough!

Better get out there when the water is off.  Fishing is great!
