Now The Spillways Are Closed Again!
Lots of rain! Rained early this morning. Right now it is just cloudy but chances for more rain in in the forecast for this late this afternoon into the evening. Mondays looks like rain during the morning and early afternoon hours. Tuesday rain chances are lower, 20-30%. We’ll just have to see. Wednesday is the only day this week where there is no percentage chance of rain in the forecast. Thursday and Friday both show slight chances. But Friday and the weekend look dry!
Yesterday, they turned the spillways off. However, one of the generators is back on line so they ran three generators for the balance of the day. This morning it was off for a few hours but three generators were fired up around 9:00 a.m.
Jim on the water Friday with Jacob and Madison from Ohio. Fairly new to fly fishing so Jim worked a little with them and then they brought several fish to the boat on the ruby midge and a chartreuse San Juan worm.
Dana and Darren on the water yesterday with a father and his sons. Dana took Brad and Bret. Tough day for them on the Ruby 2 midge. Brayden and Bryce were with Darren. They brought in a few fish on the rusty and copper dun midges. This was the day they shut down the spillways so the water was a little crazy.
