Catching Fish Is Just A Bonus!

Weather continues to be beautiful.  A bit windy yesterday, but temperatures in the 50s and the sun peek in and out most of the day.  Today, I drove to work in 40 some degrees and it will be in the upper 50s or better today.  Lots of sunshine right now.   Wednesday and Thursday look like 60s with sunshine and possiby a cool down still in the works for Friday, but back to the 50s over the weekend.  I did hear the chance of showers somewhere in the forcast, but not certain when.  Anyway, catching fish is just a bonus with weather like this!

Generation schedule has been pretty much right on the past few days….scares me!.  Anyway, there was several hours of no generation yesterday afternoon.  Think I hear the horn around 4:00 p.m.  It is slated to shut down today around 11:00 a.m. and be off until 5:00 p.m. or so.

Stan on the water Sunday with Ken from Kansas.  Early in the day, they caught most of their fish on the size 16 tungsten beadhead red midge.  Right around noon, the fish shut off this pattern, so they stripped a few cracklebacks and caught some fish.  During the drift out, Stan dropped a size 16 tan beadhead scud from the red midge and they caught fish all the way down on the scud.  They had a good, fun day on the water.

Lots of what I am hearing from fishers is the fish seem to be hanging in certain places.  At least those that are eating.  Folks are moving around to locate the fish, but when they do, fishing is good.  Slow stripping the olive size 12-14 wooly buggers, even letting them sit, has been good for several fishers.  Even with it being overcast off and on yesterday, the primrose & pearl midge was working.
