Flood Gates Off!

Good news, the five flood gates on Table Rock Dam were shut down Tuesday around 6:00 p.m.  Looking at the charts, the tailwater level on Taneycomo dropped 4.5 feet in about 16 hours, from 713.2 to 708.8 at 10:00 a.m. today.  Total flow rate is about 10,000 cfs.  Big change from the 68000 cfs we saw last week.  At 10:00 a.m. today, Beaver was sitting at 1129.11 feet, Table Rock at 928.72, and Bull Shoals at 693.25.  They have started generating a bit more water at Bull Shoals.

Pretty day today.  Sun is shining, and even though we had chances of rain forecast for today, so far it has been dry!  Not much change in the forecast for the rest of the week.  Think there are chances of rain into the weekend.

Stan out all day yesterday with Meredith from Indiana.  Has fished with us a couple times before and had another wonderful day on the river.  He came back saying he learned something new.  Now he knows what we were talking about when we said we were stripping “silver bullets’.  What fun!  They had a good day on the big ruby and red midge dropper and definitely stripping the silver bullet.
