Friday evening, April 25, a group of 12 ladies enjoyed a "get to know each other" session in Branson, MO.  Saturday, April 26, 2008 a new women’s fly fishing group was born!  Within 1 1/2 hours, we had officers, a name, mission statement, dates for our next meetings, and goals.  The prompting force behind this quick accomplishment was the urge to go fishing which we did the balance of Saturday.  Saturday evening we all gathered together for dinner and to celebrate our new group.  It was like we had all been fishing together most of our lives.  The River Runners Women’s Fly Fishing group is open to new members.   Our plans are:  lots of fishing, having fun and learning together.  At this time, our members (16 in total as 4 could not make the first meeting) come from Oklahoma, Kansas, Arkansas and Missouri.
